Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Welcome to Bac-ChatThis is a featured page

Are you a candidate working towards the Scottish Baccalaureate in Languages? If so this site is for you! This is the space where you can tell others how your Interdisciplinary Project is progressing or ask others in the group for advice if you've hit a problem.

There are also some resources that may be of interest to your teachers. Have a look at the left-hand side of this web page. There is a dedicated 'Chat-Room' where you can arrange to 'meet' at a given time and 'talk' to one another, and a 'Reference Material' section where you can share any resources that would support a particular Interdisciplinary Project. You will also find a link to the CILT Languages Work pages, and finally some links to case studies Scottish-based companies who have found it beneficial employing people with language skills, as part of the Fresh Talent Initiative (allowing foreign graduates of Scottish universities to stay on after the completion of their studies). There are also some arguments for the importance of language learning under the section 'Making the case for languages'.

If you would like further pages, links etc. to be added, do let me know - or add them in yourself!

Happy bac-chatting!

Hannah

I am the first student at my school to do the Languages Baccalaureate and am interested in what other people have come up with for their Interdisciplinary Projects, how they are going about them, if they have come across any problems...
It would be good to hear from other students :)
